TK Health is hiring a Licensed Mental Health Counselor to provide mental health services at our correctional healthcare locations in Sevier County and Monroe County, Tennessee.
This is a 24-hour-per-week position offering the opportunity to provide direct clinical care, crisis intervention, substance use counseling, treatment planning, and reentry support in a unique and rewarding healthcare environment.

Licensure Requirements
A master's degree with current licensure as one of the following is required:
- LPC
- LMSW
- LADC
- LMFT
What You'll Do
As a Mental Health Counselor with TK Health, you'll assess and coordinate mental health care for incarcerated individuals while helping develop individualized treatment and release plans that support continuity of care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing psychiatric emergencies and providing crisis intervention for individuals experiencing emotional distress or mental illness
- Conducting mental health and suicide risk evaluations and providing appropriate intervention
- Providing MAT and substance use counseling
- Developing individualized treatment plans for patients requiring intensive behavioral health management
- Coordinating referrals for medication management services when appropriate
- Collaborating with facility and medical staff to ensure patients' mental health needs are addressed
- Connecting patients with community mental health agencies, support services, and other resources
- Developing individualized release and discharge plans to help patients successfully continue care in the community
- Collaborating with community healthcare providers for patients already receiving outside services
- Maintaining appropriate safety and security standards when making clinical decisions
- Participating in on-call responsibilities for off-hours mental health coverage
- Providing mental health training to facility staff as needed
- Completing other related duties as assigned

- A Master's Degree in Social Work, clinical psychology, psychiatric nursing, or related field; OR, any equivalent combination of training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities.
- Licensed as a Social Worker, Marriage/Family Therapist, Mental Health Counselor or Licensed Professional Counselor required.
