Role Description The Engineer will support the design, development, and optimization of wire harnesses and related electrical components in an on-site role located in Oxford, MI. This is a full-time position focused on translating customer requirements into detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and updating product documentation, collaborating with production and quality teams, and troubleshooting engineering and manufacturing issues on the shop floor. The Engineer will engage in process improvement initiatives, assist with cost and feasibility analyses, and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and customer expectations. The role also involves working closely with purchasing and sales to review technical requirements, support quotes, and maintain accurate engineering records.

Qualifications
- Ability to design and interpret electrical schematics, wire harness layouts, and technical drawings, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with manufacturing processes for wire harnesses, cable assemblies, or related electro-mechanical products, including familiarity with tooling and production workflows.
- Proficiency with CAD or similar design software, and comfort working with engineering documentation such as bills of materials, work instructions, and specifications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills to address design issues, quality concerns, and process inefficiencies.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with production, quality, purchasing, and customer-facing teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to electrical wiring, safety, and quality; experience in automotive or industrial sectors is beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Oxford, MI, manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing customer and production requirements.
