Server/Waitstaff

Turkish Delight, a new restaurant in Edmond, seeks enthusiastic, reliable, and consistent Front of House and Back of House staff.

Qualifications

-16 years of age

-Previous restaurant/food establishment experience

-Available to work 10 hours /week

-Preferred past serving experience

-Capable of reaching, bending, crouching, and lifting up to 30 pounds

-Must be an effective communicator and multi-tasker

-Maintain a professional, friendly, and clean appearance/demeanor

-An interest in learning about Turkish cuisine, or familiarity with Turkish, Mediterranean, or Middle Eastern food is a bonus!

Responsibilities

-Greet guests and seat them in timely manner according to the day’s seating map, reservations, large parties, etc, while rotating between on-shift servers (when host isn't on duty)

-Creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests while delivering efficient, warm service

-Working knowledge of full menu and ability to answer any questions from guests regarding ingredients and preparation clearly

-Complete all opening, closing, and side duties as assigned (seating guests, closing section, assisting with expo/food running, folding silverware, answering phones, etc)

-Be a team player and eager to offer assistance to other staff when able to help restaurant run effectively

-Take all food and beverage orders, communicating any special requests, allergies, or other needs to kitchen staff

-Close out customer tabs accurately and handle all cash and card transactions in a timely manner

-Maintain high standard of cleanliness in dining room area (sweeping, wiping tables, cleaning spills, etc)

-Adhere to all local food safety and sanitation laws

-Customer service-minded attitude
