UX/UI Developer/Designer Public Sector Website
St. Paul, MN - Hybrid,(Only Locals, No Relocation Allowed)
Long Term
* Associates Degree minimum
* 3 years UI/UX Experience
* UX product/content design experience:
o Create repeatable design patterns to help user understand how to navigate a content-heavy website
o Experience designing for the delivery of long-form content types with many relationships to other long-form content types
o Decent knowledge of content strategy principles, having worked in partnership with a content strategist or having performed as the IA for a product
* Modern web design experience:
o Designing for mobile responsiveness
o Designing for accessibility
o Understands and is able to utilize modern design frameworks, such as material design for Bootstrap or Tailwind
o Content readability is really important for this specific scope.
* Ability to create designs/extend designs/tweak designs of:
o Website pages
o Product designs (e.g. sorting/filtering for tables/reports, integration of data from external sources, etc.)
o Iconography (can use icon packs, may need to tweak for appropriateness)
o [Nice to have] Infographic design (would have source material to make visually more appealing and usable for web)
* Uses Figma or XD for executing design work
* Ability to facilitate conversations to get the requirements needed to execute. (We have a strategist for this work, but we would benefit from a content-savvy user-experience partner.)
* Can do (and is willing to do) the production of the assets needed to develop the design
* Flexible and adaptable
* Can work expeditiously with good direction
* Willing to ask good questions and challenge the direction, but also willing to let some things go in the name of getting a v1 done in a timely way
* Content strategy, information architecture, user acceptance testing
Salary : $55 - $60
