Duties
- Perform lawn care activities including mowing, edging, trimming, and fertilizing to keep lawns healthy and visually appealing.
- Maintain landscape features such as flower beds, shrubs, trees, and hardscape elements like patios and walkways using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for planting, pruning, planting beds, and general maintenance tasks.
- Operate machinery such as excavators and snow plows when necessary for site preparation or seasonal cleanup.
- Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal to promote healthy growth and safety.
- Install and repair irrigation systems to ensure efficient watering of landscapes.
- Assist with construction projects related to landscaping or hardscape features, ensuring quality craftsmanship and safety standards are met.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience handling hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment.
- Familiarity with lawn care practices, landscape maintenance techniques, and horticulture principles.
- Experience operating machinery such as excavators or snow plows is a plus.
- Knowledge of tree care including trimming and pruning techniques.
- Ability to perform gardening tasks with attention to detail and safety protocols.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to follow instructions precisely in outdoor environments.
- Prior experience in construction or hardscape installation is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
