What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Crew Lead/ Project Manager position at Turf Prep?
We are looking for a skilled landscape construction professional with the ability to operate machinery, lead small crews and assist with project management responsibilities. This is a hands on role that includes field work, crew leadership and support with estimating and client communication.
Responsibilities
Operate heavy equipment including excavators, skid steers and loaders
Perform excavation, rough and fine grading, trenching, and general site work.
Install hardscape such as pavers, retaining walls, and walkways.
Assist with drainage system installation and site preparation.
Read and interpret construction plans and layouts.
Lead and supervise a small crew on active job sites.
Support estimating by performing measurements, material takeoffs and pricing input.
Assist with sales related communication, client meetings, and project planning.
Maintain a clean, safe and efficient job site.
Coordinate scheduling, materials and workflow with management.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in landscape construction, site work or a related field.
Proficiency in heavy equipment operation.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a crew.
Experience in estimating, customer communication or sales preferred.
Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required.
Excellent communication and problem solving abilities.
Ability to work in varying weather conditions and perform physical labor as needed.
