What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server / Bartender position at Turf Bar + Banquet?
We're looking for an experienced, personable Server/Bartender to join the Turf team.
We're not interested in robotic customer service. We want people who genuinely enjoy taking care of guests - remembering a regular's drink, noticing when someone needs something before they ask, helping a first-time customer feel welcome, and working together when the room gets busy.
What You'll Do
- Provide friendly, attentive table and bar service
- Take accurate food and beverage orders
- Prepare and serve beer, wine, cocktails, mixed drinks, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Learn Turf's menu, specials, drinks, and promotions
- Enter orders and process payments accurately through the POS
- Monitor guest needs throughout their visit
- Maintain clean, stocked, and organized service and bar areas
- Complete opening, closing, stocking, and side-work responsibilities
- Follow responsible alcohol-service procedures
- Assist with dining room, bar, banquet, and event service as needed
- Communicate clearly with kitchen, bar, and other FOH team members
- Help teammates rather than operating only within an assigned section

Previous serving experience is strongly preferred. Bartending experience is preferred for applicants seeking regular bar shifts, although we are willing to train strong servers who are ready to expand their skills.
Applicants serving alcohol must meet all applicable age and certification requirements.
Schedule: Primarily evenings and weekends, with additional weekday and event shifts available.
Pay: Hourly wage tips, based on position and experience.
Turf is locally owned, busy, sometimes a little chaotic, and built around taking great care of people. We're looking for people who want to be part of that.
Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
