As a Loan Officer, you will play a role in guiding clients through the loan process, ensuring they receive the best financial solutions tailored to their needs. You’ll engage with customers, assess their financial situations, and provide expert advice on various loan products. Your ability to build relationships and having sales knowledge of mortgage lending will be key to your success in this position.
What you’ll do
- Communicate with clients to understand their financial goals and loan needs
- Educate borrowers on available loan products, rates, and terms
- Review and analyze financial documents
- Recommend loan options that best fit the client’s financial situation
- Take complete and accurate loan applications
- Manage the loan process from application to closing
- Ensure all necessary documentation is collected and submitted on time
- Collaborate with processors, underwriters, and other internal teams
- Meet or exceed monthly production and performance goals
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain client satisfaction throughout the process
- Basic qualifications
- Proven experience as a Loan Officer or Loan officer Assistant Preferred qualifications
- 1 year of banking experience (preferred not required)
- Experience working in a high-volume lending environment
