Job Summary
Job Summary
BCBA: Under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent, Special Education, the BCBA provides behavior analysis and behavior management plans for special education students enrolled in educational programs; provides support and training to school site staff, paraprofessionals, and parents/guardians in appropriate behavior intervention techniques. Provides supervision to RBT’s for the purpose of maintaining certification. Conducts assessments and develops plans that conform to IDEA and California Education Code. Direct special education classified staff working with students. BCaBA: Under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent, Special Education or designee, and under the supervision of the BCBA. The BCaBA is responsible for providing behavioral analysis services, collaborating with teachers and support staff to implement and evaluate Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and providing direct student support in both general and special education settings. The BCaBA assists with consultations, coaching, staff training, and developing instructional and behavioral strategies.
Requirements / Qualifications
BCBA: • Any combination equivalent to: BCBA, Master's degree in psychology, or Doctorate, behavior analysis or closely related field; • Nne year of behavior analysis, behavior management and/or socialization experience in a school or similar setting. • Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation. BCaBA: • Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) certification. • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, behavior analysis, or a related field. • Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation. • Experience working in K-12 educational settings within the specialized field of Applied Behavior Analysis. • Minimum of one to three years of experience as a Behavior Consultant or equivalent position in a school setting.
