Tuolumne Resource Conservation District (TCRCD)
The Tuolumne Resource Conservation District (TCRCD) is hiring a Forestry Technician to support forest health and conservation projects throughout Tuolumne County. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience under the guidance of a Registered Professional Forester (RPF) while contributing to fuels reduction, watershed restoration, habitat improvement, and community resilience initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with fuels reduction and forestry projects under an RPF.
- Use GIS and mapping tools for project planning and analysis.
- Conduct fieldwork, biological surveys, and contractor oversight.
- Provide technical support to landowners and partners.
- Support outreach, workshops, and grant-funded project implementation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Natural Resources, or related field.
- Must have strong GIS familiarity and experience.
- Knowledge of Sierra Nevada forest ecosystems, forest inventory, and silvicultural practices.
- Strong organizational, communication, and field skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to hike in mountainous terrain.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $60,000 – $75,000, DOE.
