Lead Industrial Finish Sprayer

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Industrial Finish Sprayer to join our manufacturing team. This pivotal role involves overseeing the application of industrial coatings and finishes on a variety of products, ensuring high-quality results through precise techniques and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with paint spraying and applying paint, stain and topcoat, and leadership capabilities to guide a team of finishers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative manufacturing processes while maintaining excellence in surface finishing. This position would report to the Finishing Department Manager the Foreman.

Responsibilities

• Assist with leading and supervise the industrial finishing team, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines.
• Prepare surfaces for painting through sanding, masking, and surface cleaning using hand tools and power tools.
• Operate paint sprayers, spray guns, and other finishing equipment with precision to achieve consistent coating quality.
• Conduct inspections of finished surfaces using precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols related to industrial painting, and equipment operation.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues related to spray systems or power tools promptly to minimize downtime.
• Document work procedures, quality checks, and process improvements for continuous enhancement.

Requirements

• Proven experience in industrial painting, auto painting, or other painting environments.
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments.
• Experience with auto body repair or auto painting is advantageous.
• Competence in using paint sprayers and other spray systems effectively.
• Understanding of safety standards related to industrial finishing and materials handling.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
