We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining their CNC machine. This role is essential in ensuring precision manufacturing processes, high-quality output, and efficient production flow. Responsibilities
- Set up CNC machines and other automated equipment according to technical specifications and blueprints.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and materials specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Conduct routine inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to verify dimensions.
- Handle materials safely within the milling department, including materials handling equipment like vacuum lifts when necessary.
- Support quality assurance procedures by inspecting finished parts for adherence to specifications and documenting results.
- Collaborate with team members on tooling setup, fabrication processes, and assembly line operations to optimize productivity.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.
Experience
- Proven factory experience working with CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, or similar equipment.
- Experience reading blueprints.
- Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of tooling setup, fabrication techniques, welding, and materials handling.
- Familiarity with manufacturing safety protocols and quality control procedures.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations related to machining tolerances, and process adjustments.
