Tungco is seeking an experienced and motivated Sourcing Agent to support our global supply chain efforts in the Texas Triangle, West Coast, and Central Americas.
Job Description:
This role is focused on identifying, evaluating, and procuring tungsten yielding waste materials - including hard, soft, turnings, highspeed steel, and other heavy alloy materials. The ideal candidate will be a "fully committed" member of the organization, embodying our core values while driving significant volume growth.
Responsibilities:
- Sourcing & Volume Growth: Identify and onboard new suppliers.
- Target Achievement: Meet or exceed monthly procurement targets.
- Full-Cycle Procurement: Become proficient within Tungco's ERP system to manage purchase orders, settlements, and logistics.
- Relationship Management: Extensive travel required for face-to-face supplier interactions and relationship building.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the existing procurement team to ensure effective supplier sharing and knowledge transfer.
- Industry Representation: Participate in relevant exhibits, tradeshows, and conventions as required to expand the Tungco footprint.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Must be computer literate and have prior experience with ERP system, Microsoft Excel and/or Apple Numbers
- Familiar with AI Fundamentals
- Based in or willing to relocate to Texas
- Strong understanding of purchase terms, financing and logistics
- Natural communicator, building trust through honesty, attentiveness, and customer first approach
- Frequent travel is a must.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree
- Prior experience in scrap metal industry
- Bilingual
