Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced network engineering professional to join our dynamic team. This role requires a deep understanding of IP networking and routing protocols, combined with hands-on experience managing and troubleshooting complex network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of technical knowledge and a proven track record of working with enterprise-level router platforms and a broad range of networking protocols and technologies. Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IP network infrastructures
- Configure and manage major router platforms including Cisco 37xx, 49xx, 65xx, 73xx, and 76xx series
- Implement and manage internet routing protocols, specifically BGP and OSPF
- Monitor network performance and conduct thorough troubleshooting to resolve issues
- Manage and support a wide range of networking protocols and technologies including DWDM, SONET, VLANs, IPv4/IPv6, and VPNs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network reliability and performance
- Document network configurations, changes, and procedures
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members as needed
Skills:
- Excellent IP networking fundamentals with extensive experience in IP protocol application
- In-depth knowledge of BGP and OSPF routing protocols
- Proficiency with Cisco router platforms including 37xx, 49xx, 65xx, 73xx, and 76xx series, including all compatible supervisory and line cards
- Strong network analysis and troubleshooting capabilities
- Experience with DWDM, T1/DS1, DS3, and SONET technologies (OC3, OC48)
- Knowledge of 802.2/3 and 802.1d VLANs/STP
- Proficiency with IPv4 and IPv6 protocols
- Experience with TCP internals and flow control
- Familiarity with HSRP/GLBP, PIMv2, IGMP, and LDP
- Knowledge of TACACS, IPSEC, and VPN technologies
- Experience with netflow, DNS, and HTTP protocols
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 to 6 years of industry experience in network engineering or a related field
- Significant hands-on experience with enterprise-level routing and switching platforms
- Demonstrated expertise in deploying and managing complex networking protocols and technologies

The pay range that Tundra in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $40.15/hour - $45.50/hour W2.
