Tumalo Lavender and Victoria’s Lavender are seeking an organized, dependable, and hands-on Operations Coordinator to support daily operations across both brands. As Victoria’s Lavender transitions onto the Tumalo Lavender farm property, this role will assist in coordinating systems, managing staff schedules, and helping ensure that retail, wholesale, production, and farm operations run smoothly.
This is a working coordinator position within a small, family-owned business. The Operations Coordinator will work closely with ownership and is expected to be actively involved in day-to-day operations — including stepping into retail, production, and event roles as needed. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating structure, improving processes, and being part of a collaborative, growing small business environment.
Responsibilities:Operational Support & Coordination:
Support day-to-day operations across retail, wholesale, production, and farm activities. Help implement and refine systems, policies, and procedures to improve organization and efficiency. Assist with coordinating the integration of Victoria’s Lavender operations onto the Tumalo Lavender property. Identify operational challenges and work with ownership to develop practical solutions.
Staff Scheduling & Team Support:
Create and manage staffing schedules for:
- Farmers Markets
- On-site retail store (Saturdays and seasonal hours)
- Events and festivals
Assist with hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and employee reviews. Step into open shifts when staffing gaps arise, including working Farmers Markets, retail store shifts, production, and events as needed. Help maintain a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work culture.
Production, Inventory & Fulfillment:
Oversee daily production workflow and ensure materials and supplies are properly stocked. Monitor retail and wholesale inventory levels.Coordinate order fulfillment, including online, retail, and wholesale orders. Assist with shipping processes and logistics. Actively participate in product production, packaging, and fulfillment when needed to meet demand.
Compliance & Organization:
Ensure adherence to company policies, safety guidelines, and operational standards. Maintain organized documentation and records to support smooth operations.
Projects & Business Support:
Work closely with ownership on operational projects as needed. Research and source solutions for operational needs (including vendor sourcing, packaging solutions, shipping logistics, signage coordination, and facility-related tasks). Take initiative in managing small-to-mid scale projects from start to completion. Remain flexible and willing to take on evolving responsibilities as business needs grow and shift.
Qualifications:
Strong organizational and leadership skills. Experience in small business operations, retail management, production coordination, or similar roles preferred. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Comfortable balancing administrative coordination with physical, hands-on work. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Experience in agriculture, manufacturing, retail, or hospitality is a plus. Reliable transportation to and from the farm is required.
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 – 30.0 per week
