We're hiring a reliable, detail-oriented cleaner for our furnished short-term and mid-term rental properties in the Boston area.
This is a direct position with our company—not a partnership or subcontracting opportunity for another cleaning company. The selected candidate will begin with a paid four-unit trial. Strong performance can lead to consistent work, additional properties, and advancement into a Lead Cleaner position.
Responsibilities
Complete apartment turnovers between guest stays
Clean kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, floors, and common areas
Change and prepare linens and towels
Restock toiletries and guest supplies
Follow VEX’s cleaning checklist for every turnover
Submit clear completion photos of every room
Inspect units for damage, missing items, or maintenance problems
Immediately report anything that could affect the next guest
Ensure every property is fully clean, stocked, and guest-ready by the deadline
Potentially train and oversee additional cleaners as the role grows
Qualifications
Previous professional cleaning experience
Short-term rental, hotel, or furnished-apartment experience preferred
Reliable transportation and ability to travel between Boston-area properties
Reliable smartphone for schedules, checklists, photos, and communication
Strong attention to detail
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
Comfortable working within strict turnover deadlines
Daytime and weekend availability
Ability to handle laundry and carry cleaning supplies
Compensation
$25–$30 per hour, depending on experience and performance
Paid four-unit trial

Advancement opportunity into a Lead Cleaner position at a higher rate
Approved parking expenses reimbursed
Most turnovers occur during the daytime between guest checkout and check-in. Work volume may vary depending on reservations.
