What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatric Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) position at Tulsa Sunshine Center Pediatric Therapy?
Locally owned since 2009, with more than 500,000 appointments served, Tulsa Sunshine Center is a pediatric speech and occupational therapy clinic families already trust. We're adding an experienced pediatric COTA (minimum 5 years of pediatric experience required) to our OT team. You'll work alongside our COTA and supervising OTRs, with a speech team down the hall, so you won't be practicing in a silo.
What you'll do
- Carry out play-based treatment plans for children with developmental delays, sensory processing needs, fine and gross motor challenges, autism-related occupational needs, and school-related stress
- Work closely with supervising OTRs: share progress, suggest plan updates, and flag concerns
- Coach parents and caregivers so strategies carry over to home and school
- Write clear, timely treatment notes, reviewed by a supervising OTR
- Collaborate with our speech-language team on shared kiddos
