Biopsy Technician
Tulsa Medical Laboratory is seeking a detail-oriented Biopsy Technician to join our Anatomic Pathology team.
The Biopsy Technician assists with the daily operations of the gross room, including specimen accessioning, gross examination and dissection of approved non-complex surgical pathology specimens, tissue cassette preparation, and other laboratory support duties under the supervision of a Pathologist and/or Pathologists' Assistant. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced laboratory environment while maintaining compliance with laboratory policies and standardized personnel qualification requirements.
Schedule
Monday-Friday, 11:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Qualifications
- Qualified candidates must meet standardized personnel qualification requirements for individuals assisting with gross examination and have one of the following:
- An associate degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution; or
- At least 60 semester hours from an accredited institution, including at least 24 semester hours of qualifying science coursework, with a minimum of 6 semester hours each in chemistry and biology.
- Previous experience in surgical pathology, histology, specimen accessioning, or another clinical laboratory setting is preferred but not required.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $45,000-$60,000, based on qualifications and experience. Tulsa Medical Laboratory offers a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and paid holidays.
