We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical Assistant to join our team and help facilitate these life-changing treatments.
Job Summary:
As a Medical Assistant in our Spravato Treatment Center, you will play a vital role in supporting our patients and clinical team. You will be responsible for assisting with patient self-administration of Spravato treatments, monitoring patients, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
Duties:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits.
- Assist with the administration of Spravato under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider.
- Monitor patients during and after treatment sessions for any adverse reactions.
- Record patient information, including vital signs, medical history, and treatment progress.
- Provide patient education and support before, during, and after treatments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety guidelines.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Maintain stock and obtain authorization for treatment
Experience:
The successful candidate should possess the following skills and experience:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional medical training or education preferred.
- Previous experience in a clinical or healthcare setting, preferably in mental health or psychiatric care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
