Job Overview

We are hiring a Patient Services Representative / Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our fast-paced healthcare practice. This position is ideal for a motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented professional who is comfortable handling a high-volume workload and understands the importance of accuracy, efficiency, and patient experience.

This is a hands-on role for someone who takes ownership, works well under pressure, and is not afraid of hard work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients professionally and manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments using eClinicalWorks (eCW).
  • Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Verify insurance information and assist patients with basic billing or coverage questions.
  • Answer and manage multi-line phones, voicemails, and electronic messages promptly.
  • Provide clear explanations of office policies, procedures, and services.
  • Address patient concerns calmly and professionally while maintaining excellent customer service.
  • Communicate effectively with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and daily operations.
  • Support front-office administrative tasks as needed to keep the practice running efficiently.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist, patient services representative, or front desk staff in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems (eClinicalWorks experience is a plus).
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills in a high-volume medical office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.
  • Knowledge of insurance verification and medical office workflows.
  • Reliable, punctual, and accountable with a strong work ethic.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus, but not required.
