Job Overview
We are hiring a Patient Services Representative / Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our fast-paced healthcare practice. This position is ideal for a motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented professional who is comfortable handling a high-volume workload and understands the importance of accuracy, efficiency, and patient experience.
This is a hands-on role for someone who takes ownership, works well under pressure, and is not afraid of hard work.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients professionally and manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments using eClinicalWorks (eCW).
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Verify insurance information and assist patients with basic billing or coverage questions.
- Answer and manage multi-line phones, voicemails, and electronic messages promptly.
- Provide clear explanations of office policies, procedures, and services.
- Address patient concerns calmly and professionally while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Communicate effectively with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and daily operations.
- Support front-office administrative tasks as needed to keep the practice running efficiently.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist, patient services representative, or front desk staff in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems (eClinicalWorks experience is a plus).
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills in a high-volume medical office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.
- Knowledge of insurance verification and medical office workflows.
- Reliable, punctual, and accountable with a strong work ethic.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus, but not required.
