Tully Rinckey, a full-service law firm with offices located in New York, Washington, D.C., Texas and California, is seeking a Training Associate to join our Latham, NY support staff team. The Training Associate is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all training and development programs within the firm. This role ensures that all employees are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively and efficiently to contribute to the firm’s goals each year. The Training Associate is responsible for providing training on firm operating systems in addition to creating and implementing training programs that enhance employee performance, foster a culture of continuous learning, and align with the company’s strategic objectives using existing and new software. Responsibilities will include leading and performing all aspects of new hire onboarding and in addition the Training Associate will review skills gap analyses by working with firm managers to identify training needs in their department, teams and individuals. This individual will plan training programs based on business goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. This individual will develop a monthly training schedule that align with achieving strategic goals of the firm. The Training Associate will report directly to the Chief Administrative Officer and work closely with other members of the management team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive training strategy aligned with the firm’s goals and objectives.
  • Take a hands-on approach to developing and leading new hire onboarding and continuous in service firmwide training in addition to monthly departmental training initiatives.
  • Take a hands-on approach with baseline firm systems and provide new hires with overviews and remedial training on firm systems that enable newly hired Attorneys and staff to hit the ground running in a short per of time. This will include drafting presentations, presenting on topics that are important to the firm during general routine training sessions.
  • Collaborate closely with Managing Partners and practice heads to identify and develop specialized and advanced training needs and presentations.
  • Design relevant and engaging training curriculums that will further the knowledge of firm Attorneys utilizing talent inside and outside of the firm.
  • Work to develop the firm’s CLE curriculum working closely with the firm’s marketing team and Attorneys.
  • Work with Support Staff managers to develop timely and relevant in service firmwide training topics.
  • Embrace firm technology and relay concepts and advice to team members that will increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Establish a knowledge management system for current and future employees.
  • Work with Practice heads to establish and improve firm brief banks and practice area templates.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field
  • 2-5 years of experience in training and professional development.
  • Professional services experience is preferred.
  • Experience executing, developing and implementing training programs.
  • Experience running a training program independently with minimal oversight.

Salary: The salary offered will be based on the length and relevance of the candidate's work history and the skills developed through their professional experiences. The compensation offered for this position is $60,000-$70,000 per year, based on experience.
