We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Deputy Chief Marketing Officer to join our management team. The ideal candidate will bring strong digital marketing expertise, leadership experience, and a proven ability to execute integrated marketing and business development strategies in a fast-paced professional services environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
In this role, the Deputy Chief Marketing Officer will lead the firm’s marketing, digital strategy, and business development initiatives while supporting overall brand growth and revenue generation. You will:
- Develop and execute the firm’s integrated digital marketing strategy, including web development, SEO/AEO/GEO, social media, video, email marketing, and PPC campaigns to drive lead generation and revenue growth
- Oversee business development strategy in collaboration with equity partners, managing partners, and practice area leaders to expand client relationships and generate new business opportunities
- Lead content development and review processes to ensure consistency and quality across all published materials, including articles, attorney bios, newsletters, advertisements, and firm collateral
- Manage marketing, media, and public relations initiatives to strengthen brand positioning, support firm growth objectives, and expand visibility across practice areas and markets
- Identify, develop, and manage RFP responses and strategic marketing opportunities while ensuring alignment with firm goals, budgets, and performance metrics
- Support firm leadership by serving as acting CMO when required and assisting with high-level strategic projects and initiatives as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive marketing, business development, or leadership experience, preferably in a professional services or legal environment
- Strong expertise in digital marketing strategy, lead generation, SEO/AEO/GEO, PPC, and integrated campaign management
- Proven ability to develop and execute business development and revenue-generating marketing strategies
- Experience managing teams, budgets, vendors, and cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategy
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with experience developing executive-level presentations and marketing content
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and drive results with minimal supervision
- High level of professionalism, leadership capability, and ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives and attorneys
