Position: Consult Attorney
Location: Washington, D.C.
Salary: $120,000 - $140,000

As a Consult Attorney at Tully Rinckey PLLC, you will play a key role in client experience by serving as the initial point of contact for prospective clients. This position focuses on conducting initial consultations, assessing legal issues, setting realistic expectations, and explaining how the Firm’s attorneys and practice groups can assist clients in achieving their goals.
The ideal candidate is client-focused, articulate, and confident discussing legal matters related to D.C., Maryland, and Virginia Employment Laws. You will work closely with Firm leadership and practice group leaders to ensure a smooth transition from the initial consultation of a potential new client to representation of the client’s matter with the Firm.
Duties Include:

• Conduct initial consultations with prospective clients
• Assessing legal matters across a wide range of employment law matters
• Clearly explain legal processes, potential strategies, and next steps
• Set appropriate expectations regarding scope, timelines, and representation
• Collaborate with attorneys and Firm leadership to facilitate client onboarding
• Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality
• Involvement with the Marketing team in public relations, media, and article review

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Admitted and in good standing to practice law in the States of D.C., Maryland, and Virginia
• At least five (5) years of experience representing employees in D.C., Maryland, and Virginia private employment matters
• Strong verbal communication and client-relations skills
• Sound judgment and the ability to evaluate legal issues efficiently
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Commitment to integrity, ethics, and legal excellence

Compensation & Benefits:

• Performance-based bonuses of up to 60% of base salary
