Housed within our headquarter office here in the beautiful Capital Region, the Business Operations Manager, Legal Administration will assist the Chief Administrative Office with day-to-day operations of the company and be responsible for the development and execution of short and long-term initiatives centered around the firm’s Legal Administration Department. This position will work closely with senior leadership, outside vendors, as well as department heads to develop and implement goals and strategy to improve the company’s operations, which include business development, client relations, client satisfaction, client retention, and hiring efforts.

Responsibilities include:
- Assist with the Supervision of the Firm’s legal support staff.
- Task delegation, assignment, and timeline management.
- Project management – including specialized department projects.
- In person interaction with colleagues, clients, and vendors, including short or no notice problem solving
- Development and implementation of strategic and tactical initiatives.
- Draft, analyze and improve company processes, policies, and procedures.
- Travel to various firm offices to direct, train, and refine standard operating procedures.
- Compile and analyze market research relating to activities of competitors, legal services, and service costs.
- Participate in the development of competitive marketing, recruiting, and business development strategies.
- Requires access to proprietary information, privileged material, and/or trade secrets that is exclusively in the workplace.
- Administrative tasks as assigned by the Chief Administrative Officer and Firm Management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field from an accredited college or university. MBA preferred.
- 2-5 years of management experience.
- Prior law firm experience is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and technology, legal software knowledge (LexisNexis, Westlaw, Juris, Time matters) is a plus.
