White-Glove Furniture Delivery Driver / Mover — Must Qualify for Company Insurance

Job Description

Tullock Transport LLC is hiring a dependable furniture delivery driver and moving crew member.

This is not a basic driving job and it is not a basic moving job. We handle high-end furniture, designer receiving, local deliveries, warehouse work, and residential moves. We need someone who can drive safely, show up on time, communicate professionally, follow procedures, and handle expensive furniture without damaging it.

What This Job Includes

You will help with:

• Driving company vehicles for local furniture deliveries and moves
• Loading and unloading furniture safely
• White-glove delivery into homes, showrooms, warehouses, and businesses
• Local residential and commercial moves when scheduled
• Padding, wrapping, carrying, placing, and assembling furniture when needed
• Protecting floors, walls, doors, railings, elevators, and customer property
• Taking required photos and completing delivery documentation
• Communicating professionally with customers, designers, showrooms, and team members
• Warehouse receiving, storage, organizing, and order handling
• Keeping trucks, trailers, pads, straps, dollies, tools, and equipment organized and ready
• Following company procedures for handling, loading, delivery, damage prevention, and customer communication

Required Qualifications

You must meet all of the following:

• Valid driver’s license
• Able to qualify under our company vehicle insurance requirements
• Acceptable motor vehicle record
• Able to pass a background check
• Reliable transportation to and from work every scheduled day
• Able to show up on time consistently
• Able to work locally in the Kansas City area
• Able to drive safely and professionally
• Able to lift, carry, push, pull, and maneuver heavy furniture with a team
• Able to work on stairs, in tight spaces, and inside customer homes
• Able to follow written procedures and crew-lead instructions
• Able to use a smartphone for work-related photos, job notes, navigation, communication, and documentation
• Professional attitude with customers and coworkers
• Drug-free and fit for duty while working
• Able to follow the company phone policy during work hours
• Willing to work physical days without complaining, disappearing, or slowing the crew down

Driving Standard

This position requires someone who can drive company vehicles safely and professionally.

Applicants must be eligible to drive under our company and insurance standards. A valid license alone does not guarantee qualification. Driving history will be reviewed before hiring.

You must be able to safely operate company vehicles, follow traffic laws, protect company equipment, and represent the company professionally while driving.

Unsafe driving, careless vehicle handling, aggressive driving, distracted driving, or failure to follow company driving procedures will not be tolerated.

Attendance Standard

Reliability is mandatory.

If you are frequently late, miss work, have transportation issues, fail to respond, or cannot be depended on to show up when scheduled, this job will not work.

Our customers schedule around delivery windows, moving crews, buildings, designers, warehouses, and other trades. One person being late can throw off the entire day.

Transportation Standard

You must have dependable transportation to get to work on time every scheduled day.

Even though this is a driving position, you are still responsible for getting yourself to work reliably. Rides that regularly fall through, last-minute transportation problems, or repeated lateness will disqualify you from this position.

Cell Phone Standard

Personal phone use is not allowed while actively working.

Phones may only be used for work-related communication, job photos, job notes, navigation, or other assigned work tasks. Personal phone use is only allowed during approved breaks or while riding as a passenger in a vehicle.

If you cannot stay off your phone while working, this job will not work.

Physical Requirements

This is a physical job.

You must be able to:

• Lift and carry furniture with another person
• Work on your feet most of the day
• Go up and down stairs repeatedly
• Carry items through homes without damaging walls, floors, doors, or furniture
• Work in warehouses, trucks, trailers, customer homes, and job sites
• Handle long or heavy days when the schedule requires it
• Follow safe lifting, carrying, padding, wrapping, loading, and unloading procedures
• Work carefully even when the day is physically demanding

Customer Property Standard

We work inside customer homes and handle expensive furniture.

You must be able to:

• Respect customer property
• Protect walls, floors, doors, stairs, railings, elevators, and furniture
• Follow placement instructions
• Communicate professionally
• Report damage, delays, or problems immediately
• Avoid careless handling
• Stay calm and professional around customers

This job requires care, patience, and attention to detail. Speed matters, but damage prevention matters more.

Preferred Experience

Preferred but not required:

• Furniture delivery experience
• Moving company experience
• White-glove delivery experience
• Warehouse receiving experience
• Box truck, cargo van, or trailer experience
• Appliance, mattress, or large-item delivery experience
• Experience using moving pads, stretch wrap, ratchet straps, dollies, shoulder straps, and basic tools

Schedule

Primarily weekday work. Some Saturdays may be available or required based on workload.

Hours can vary depending on delivery and moving schedules.

Compensation

Pay is based on experience, reliability, driving qualification, work ethic, physical ability, and performance.
