Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator that has 2 years of experience in site work for residential custom homes to join our team on construction sites. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery, including excavators, loaders, and compaction equipment. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient operations on-site, from digging and grading to transporting materials. The Equipment Operator will work closely with other team members to maintain safety standards and complete projects on time.

Responsibilities
- Digging and back filling large custom home and running utilites.
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, skid steers, compaction equipment, and loaders to perform tasks on construction sites.
- Execute digging and grading operations with precision to prepare sites for construction.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate work activities.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and project progress.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience digging residential or commercial foundations.
- Must have an understanding of blueprints and elevation/grade changes.
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery in a construction setting.
- Proficiency in excavation operation, grading operation, and loader operation.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Valid commercial driving license (CDL) preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physical environments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
