Small friendly office with a great collaborative and supportive team environment seeking a pleasant, organized, and reliable Medical Receptionist. Each staff team member plays a vital role in making our patients feel welcome, valued, and respected from the moment they walk through the door.
Main Duties:
- Warmly greet patients, check them in, verify insurance, and prepare necessary paperwork.
- Manage the daily appointment calendar, answer incoming calls, and assist with rescheduling.
- Handle patient inquiries, route messages to clinical staff, and manage appointment reminders.
- Maintain patient charts, process co-pays and payments, and keep the waiting area clean and organized.
- Strictly adhere to HIPAA guidelines and patient confidentiality protocols.
Requirements:
- High school diploma.
- 1-2 years of experience in a medical office, or customer service role.
- Friendly, empathetic, and professional demeanor.
- Working knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and basic medical terminology.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Professional appearance (no visible tattoos on arms, hands, face, neck or facial piercings other than earrings, no unnatural hair color).
This position is part time, Monday through Friday daily.
