Summary:
The primary role of the Quality Systems Manager is to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and guidelines, internal quality, food safety standards and policies.
Primary Responsibilities:
The duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Create, implement and monitor quality assurance programs and procedures to assure conformance of incoming ingredients, materials and finished products to established specifications and quality standards.
- Monitor all GMP and food safety programs
- Conduct HACCP and GMP training
- Interact with FDA and third party auditors
- Oversee Sanitation and SOP’s
- Develop raw material and finished product specifications
- Supervise pest management program
- Manage environmental monitoring program
- SQF Practitioner
- LACF Coordinator
- HACCP Coordinator
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
To be eligible for this position, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- BS in Food Science or equivalent
- 5 - 7 years of industry experience with a minimum 3 years supervisory experience
- SQF Certified
- Must demonstrate proficient PC skills, strong verbal and written communication skills throughout all levels of the organization
- Ability to follow company guidelines and work with peers to achieve the overall goals of the company
