Position Summary:
The ERP Analyst will support and enhance the company’s Aptean Ross ERP system and related reporting infrastructure (Power BI). This role will focus on system support (70%) and data/reporting maintenance (30%), partnering closely with Finance and Operations to ensure data integrity, system reliability, and actionable reporting. Key duties will include troubleshooting issues, maintaining data integrity, building & managing custom reports, and training users.
Key Responsibilities
ERP Systems Support
- Support daily operation of the Aptean Ross ERP system across inventory, production, purchasing, and finance modules.
- Troubleshoot transactional issues related to production orders, inventory movements, purchasing, and financial postings.
- Maintain user access, roles, and security controls, ensuring appropriate segregation of duties.
- Assist with system configuration, testing, and validation for upgrades, enhancements, and process improvements.
- Partner with Operations and Finance to resolve data discrepancies impacting costing, inventory valuation, and reporting.
Master Data Governance & Data Integrity
- Maintain and audit ERP master data including item masters, bills of material (BOMs), routings, vendors, and customers.
- Support governance processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and adherence to company standards.
- Investigate and correct data issues impacting production, purchasing, or financial reporting.
- Document data standards and support continuous improvement of data management practices.
Reporting & Business Intelligence Support
- Maintain and enhance existing Power BI datasets, dashboards, and KPI reporting.
- Perform dataset refresh validation, data quality checks, and troubleshooting to ensure reporting reliability.
- Maintain and troubleshoot SQL-based reports supporting Finance and Operations.
- Support minor enhancements to reports under direction of the Director of ERP & Reporting.
Essential Skills & Tools
- ERP Knowledge: Functional understanding of manufacturing ERP environments, including production, inventory, purchasing, and finance modules. Experience with Aptean Ross or similar manufacturing ERP preferred.
- Data analysis and reporting: Working knowledge of SQL for report maintenance and troubleshooting; ability to support and enhance existing Power BI reporting.
- Data Management: Familiarity with data management and business intelligence tools
Qualifications & Experience:
- 3–5 years experience supporting ERP, reporting, or data systems in manufacturing or distribution environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills; attention to detail, ability to translate complex business needs into actionable data solutions and resolve technical challenges efficiently.
- Experience with SQL and understanding of report writing as well as familiarity with Power BI. Some SSRS report building and / or DML knowledge would be helpful but not necessary.
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data validation) for data analysis and troubleshooting.
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
