Position Overview

TULK is seeking an experienced Security Specialist to support the implementation and administration of personnel, information, physical, and program security requirements within a Department of Defense and Intelligence Community environment.

The selected candidate will apply federal security policies and classification guidance, support Special Access Program activities, conduct security briefings and indoctrinations, review security documentation, and help maintain compliant program security operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply DoD, Intelligence Community, Special Access Program, and industrial security policies, regulations, directives, and classification requirements.
• Conduct security indoctrinations, briefings, debriefings, and recurring security training.
• Develop, review, and maintain security standard operating procedures, program security plans, and related documentation.
• Perform classification management and classification reviews in accordance with applicable Security Classification Guides.
• Review program security plans and security procedures for compliance with government requirements.
• Implement security procedures consistent with Intelligence Community Directives and other applicable government policies.
• Support ICD 705 physical and technical security requirements.
• Perform information security, personnel security, physical security, and access-management activities.
• Support facility accreditation activities, including Fixed Facility Checklists, Co-Use Agreements, Emergency Action Plans, and supporting documentation.
• Perform Program Security Officer responsibilities supporting Special Access Programs.
• Process and maintain Special Access Program access requests, training records, indoctrination records, and related personnel security documentation.
• Use applicable security systems, including SIC and JADE, to conduct account lookups, establish accounts, and support access processing.
• Maintain accurate security files, records, access rosters, and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate with government security personnel, program leadership, facility personnel, and other stakeholders.
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while managing multiple security requirements and deadlines.

Required Qualifications

• Eleven to fourteen years of relevant security experience.
• At least five years of experience supporting the Department of Defense or Intelligence Community.
• Demonstrated knowledge of DoD, DCID, ICD, JAFAN, NISPOM, and related security classification regulations and guidance.
• Experience conducting indoctrinations, briefings, debriefings, and security training.
• Experience developing and maintaining security standard operating procedures.
• Experience with classification management, classification reviews, and Security Classification Guides.
• Experience reviewing program security plans and security procedures.
• Knowledge of ICD 705 requirements and facility accreditation processes.
• Experience supporting information security, personnel security, physical security, and Special Access Program activities.
• Experience with access management, SAP processing, and applicable Intelligence Community policies and directives.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.

Certification Requirement

The selected candidate must obtain the applicable DoD Security Professional Education Development certification in accordance with DoD Manual 3305.13 within one year of beginning work.
