Job Summary
Under general supervision, the Behavior Consultant leads Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programming for early learners (ages 3–5) diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) within a center-based setting. This position is responsible for conducting behavioral assessments, designing individualized treatment plans, supervising Behavior Tutors, and delivering parent consultation to build foundational skills in social communication, school readiness, group learning, and independence. The Behavior Consultant collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and educational personnel across the SELPA to support smooth transitions into future educational environments.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education Required: • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) OR current enrollment in an accredited master's program that meets the requirements of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) designation preferred. Experience Required: • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with young children (ages 3–5) diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), preferably in a center-based or clinic setting. • Demonstrated experience with behavioral assessment, program writing, and insurance/Medi-Cal report writing.
