The Teaching Assistant will support the professor(s) in various administrative and operational tasks.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Teaching Assistant
The Teaching Assistant will support the professor(s) in various administrative and operational tasks.
Responsibilities
- Attending and completing instructional staff training prior to the arrival of students
- Take attendance of class and sessions
- Assisting in maintaining classroom order
- Working with individual or groups of students
- Leading break activities
- Providing administrative assistance
- Handling routine disciplinary problems
- Chaperoning and assisting with logistics on field experiences
- Teaching the course on occasion or holding sessions, as requested by the instructor
- Maintaining and submitting a master list of materials for your course and a list of any equipment broken or damaged by students or staff
- Addressing student behavior issues while in their presence
- Assisting in ensuring the health and safety of all students by following site medical protocols
- Assisting program staff with program tasks and evaluation
- Packing, storing, disposing of, and completing an inventory of course materials at the end of programming
- Acting as a resource and academic support for students
- Grading submitted work from students
- Active enrollment as a student at Tulane University
- Prior or active enrollment in a particular class or course of study (potentially)
- A required grade in a prior class or coursework (potentially)
