The Talent Development team is responsible for providing professional development resources to Tulane's faculty and staff, facilitating new hire orientation and onboarding, managing annual performance reviews, and coordinating employee recognition events across the university.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the design and development of internal communications and resources for faculty and staff
- Create and manage digital content for the department's SharePoint site and LinkedIn page
- Support the coordination of orientation, professional development events, and employee recognition initiatives through Excel and Airtable
- Edit and prepare training recordings to create accessible learning content
- Design professional graphics and branded materials for university events and communications
- Help track participation and manage reporting for professional development and orientation programs
- Provide administrative support for department initiatives and special projects
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current Tulane University student
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Professional demeanor and reliable work ethic
- Major in Business, Human Resources, Psychology, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field
- Experience with SharePoint, LinkedIn, or other social media management
- Experience in graphic design software (Canva) and basic video editing skills
- Previous experience in event planning or project coordination
- Experience (or interest) in project management tools like Airtable or using Markdown language
- Understanding of professional workplace communication principles
- 10-15 hours per week during academic year (flexible scheduling)
