Job Description
The Medical Office Assistant will be responsible for performing a variety of clinical, clerical and administrative functions. Clinicalduties include, but are not limited to, triaging patients, collecting medicalinformation, recording vital signs (blood pressure, pulse and weight), assisting providers duringprocedures, performing routine point of care testing (cholesterol and blood glucose testing) , obtaining insurance authorizations for proceduresand EKG's. Additional responsibilities will include: scheduling patient appointments, faxing/scanning documents, pre-certifying services andprocedures, maintaining the stock room andthe physical environment ofthe exam and procedure rooms. The Medical Office Assistant will serve as floater between clerical and clinical staff asneeded.

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of clerical/administrative medical office experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records
