The Director of Campus Engagement and Experience serves as the operational lead for Tulane’s flagship events and team-led programs, ensuring seamless logistics, communications, and execution. This role plays a central part in fostering pride, belonging, and connection at Tulane University by managing the day-to-day planning and delivery of high-profile initiatives that reflect the University’s values, align with brand standards, and engage all audiences.Reporting to the Senior Director of Campus Engagement and Experience, the Director manages the execution of Tulane’s most significant institutional events, including Commencement, State of the University, Convocation, the Future of Energy Forum, and Presidential Speaker Series events. The Director also supervises the Coordinator, Campus Engagement and Experience, and provides hands-on oversight of event communications, vendor management, and logistics.By translating strategy into action, the Director ensures Tulane’s flagship experiences are executed with excellence, consistency, and impact.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Deadline-driven, highly organized, and collaborative, with experience managing multiple concurrent events, projects, and communications in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas effectively and concisely across various audiences.
- Knowledge of best practices in experiential marketing, event planning, and communications strategy.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee logistics and communications from concept through execution.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-campus partners.
- Ability to work independently, exercising sound judgment, confidentiality, and fiscal responsibility.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain positive, collaborative relationships with colleagues, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the higher education landscape and understanding of Tulane’s mission, values, and brand goals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Airtable, and event management tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or a related field.
- 5 years professional experience in event production, marketing, and/or communications.
- 5 years experience as a team leader or supervisor.
- 10 years experience in event production, marketing, and/or communications.
