What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packaging Design Manager position at TULA Skincare?
Tula is looking for a Packaging Designer who can combine strong creative execution with a knowledgeable technical understanding of packaging design & implementation. This role will be responsible for managing the packaging design, implementation, & delivery for our brand relaunch and continue new innovation skus & optimizations. This role will work across multiple functions and vendors ensuring key criteria are met and the overall brand experience is cohesive, meets brand standards, and is launched with excellence. They will ensure consistency, innovation, and excellence from concept to final production. The ideal candidate brings a thoughtful approach to design systems, materials, and structure while collaborating cross-functionally to deliver best-in-class packaging solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own packaging
- Own & manage individual packaging creative, timelines, approvals & execution.
- Ensure all packaging projects are completed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with legal standards.
- Serve as the point of contact for vendor communications & internal creative
- Provide timely updates, reviews, and facilitate successful production
- Partner cross functionally on NPD packaging, packaging re-orders, rebranded packaging & compliance, and routing & releases. Implement reorders updates driven by component supplier updates, formula changes, and regulatory requirements. Manage feedback, revisions, and execute the final release.
- Effectively & efficiently enable design ideation to bring to life brand strategy through packaging execution. Work with the Creative Director to bring to life new ideas and strategies via design ideation & prototyping. Work with vendors to sample new packaging materials, printing techniques & finishes to support brand architecture. Work with CD & Ops to understand internal strategy & incorporate best in class designs into pack.
- Develop packaging designs based on briefs, align cross-functional stakeholders, manage revisions, and ensure accurate, on-time project release.

Job Qualifications
- At least 4 years of professional experience in a creative environment in packaging design role - Beauty or a CPG brand a strong plus.
- Technical knowledge & skill on vendor communication
- Experience in setting up projects & leading work through an internal system
- Manage timelines, key days
- Take brand vision & design intent and bring to life in new channels etc.
- Eager to prototype early and often, coming back to the creative organization with new ideas and treatments — while collaborating with digital, retail, and experiential designers to build out ideas and proof opportunities.
The expected starting salary for this role is $100,000 - $115,000 with bonus potential. Exact salary is determined based on skills and experience.
