Primary Job Objectives
Ensure the animal care area and hospital building environment are neat, clean, and maintained daily.
WAGE RANGE
Based on previous experience. This position is part-time 6am -10am.
DUTIES / TASKS
- Empty trash
- Empty recycling, break down boxes
- Sweep/ mop floors/change mop heads/ clean mop buckets
- Wash windows
- Vacuuming
- Cleaning of dryer baskets
- Wiping down sinks
- Wash and wipe down doors, walls including kennels and surrounding area
- Cleaning floor scales
- Clean grooming and flush sinks
- Wash barrels
- Stock paper towels
- Stock cleaning supplies
- Empty trash outside of building
- Dust high areas in reception and animal care areas
- Empty and maintain dog waste stations outside
- Ensure outside of building and entrances are free of animal waste
- When needed hose down sidewalks and walkways
- Maintain maintenance closet
- Shovel snow when needed
- Minor building maintenance/repairs at the direction of the facilities manager
Always maintain a positive attitude and follow all of TVETS policies including the Employee Code of Conduct. As an employee your conduct and interaction with hospital staff and clients is a top priority and is continually evaluated.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and standards as required by the employee manual.
- Serve as a representative of the hospital. Display courtesy, tact, consideration, and a positive attitude in all interactions with clients, patients, and hospital staff.
- Adhere to your work schedule. Be on the floor ready to work at the start of your shift.
- Demonstrate initiative and teamwork in your duties each day.
- Follow all hospital safety and procedure protocols.
- Keep work areas organized and exercise time management skills to maximize efficiency within the hospital. Prioritize your tasks and handle them in a calm and organized manner.

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous housekeeping, janitorial/custodial experience
PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 18 years old.
- Is well-spoken and approaches his/her job duties in a mature nature.
- Is experienced in the teamwork approach and can work well with all levels of hospital team members.
- Must be proactive throughout the shift.
- Have excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Physical Effort: Work requires lifting (40lbs) and standing for extended periods of time.
- Working conditions: May be exposed to unpleasant odors, noises, and animal feces.
Salary : $18 - $21
