What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Health Physician position at Tufts University and Careers?
Tufts University Health Services supports the educational mission of Tufts University by providing accessible, high-quality health care to a diverse population of undergraduate and graduate students across all campuses. We are committed to fostering a safe, welcoming environment that is inclusive, culturally informed, and ensures equitable access to care. Our core values include confidentiality, respect for diversity, promotion of wellness, and continuous professional growth.
Our team—comprising physicians, advanced practice clinicians, nurses, and medical laboratory professionals—works collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary group across Tufts’ four campuses to meet students’ medical needs. Services include disease prevention, health promotion, and the full spectrum of routine primary care, with a strong emphasis on acute illness, sexual and reproductive health, and mental health. We strive to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care for all student populations, including HIV prevention through pre- and post-exposure prophylaxis, gender-affirming care, and support for individuals who have experienced sexual assault. All clinicians participate in an on-call rotation to provide backup for our after-hours nurse triage line.
