What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Janitor/ Housekeeper position at Tufco L.P.?
Day Shift available: 2-2-3 schedule (work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days, off 2 days & off 3 days) every two weeks you will be schedule to work 36 hours one week and 48 hours the other.
Job Summary
To ensure cleanliness of the manufacturing facility always maintaining a “tour ready” facility.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for housekeeping and appearance of site offices and common areas
- Maintain the cleanliness of the floors by vacuuming and mopping
- Collect and dispose of all trash from plan floor, offices, restrooms and common areas
- Clean the building restrooms on a regular basis, ensuring soap, towels and toilet paper are available
- Dust desks and shelves weekly in all offices and common areas
- Provide maintenance support for outside grounds as necessary
- Other duties as assigned to maintain the work environment & production
- Ensuring cleaning materials are stocked and replenished
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- Cleaning in a manufacturing environment
Work Requirements:
- Wearing personal protective equipment, following safety rules, and reporting unsafe conditions
- Adhering to health and safety requirements
- Understand and comply with all lockout/tagout procedures
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to communicate and follow verbal instructions
- Must possess a positive attitude, willingness to learn and have good attendance
