What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructional Specialist - General Subjects (2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR) position at Tucson Unified School District?
SUMMARY
Instruct students in general Studies related to TUSD curriculum.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Two (2) years of experience with youth
Associate’s (or higher) degree
OR
Completion of an AZ Department of Education-approved Academic Assessment Test OR 60 Semester-Hour credits at an institute of higher learning (Copy of diploma, transcripts or test results must be submitted at time of hire).
Copy of diploma, transcripts or test results must be submitted at time of hire.
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend
written/graphic and oral instructions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience as a teacher aide.
Bilingual in English and Spanish
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
FBI fingerprint background check.
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

Effective: 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR
Location: Cragin Elementary School - Glenn & Tucson Blvd Area
Classification: White Collar
FTE: .5 FTE – 4 hours per day
Work Calendar: 9.0 month
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
