**SUMMARY**
Responds to all incoming calls and radio transmissions according to
established procedures. Performs a variety of general office work
including typing, filing, and reception duties.
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
One Year Experience Using And/or Operating 2-way Radios Required,
preferably as a Dispatcher, and for using law enforcement 10 codes and
Uniformed Crime Classification codes.
Six months office experience, with document handling and records filing.
Experience With Computers Required, Preferably With CAD (Computer Aided
Dispatch).
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated
ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
***Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and rotating shifts.***
**ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE**
FBI fingerprint background check.
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or
proof of MMR immunization. Bloodborne Pathogen training offered by TUSD
Risk Management Department.
Complete all background checks and required testing to meet Criminal
Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance.
Must maintain eligibility for continued access to restricted public
safety systems and facilities.
