Minimum Requirements
Effective: 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
Location: Site - Exceptional Education Department - Sites vary
FTE: 1.0 - 7.5 hours per day
Work Calendar: 9.5 month
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar for the position.
Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language. For more information on salary schedule, please reference the Employee Agreements Webpage.

- Arizona Special Education Certificate K-12 - CCS OR Mild-Moderate WITH with Music K-12 Endorsement OR Arizona Secondary Certificate WITH Mild-Moderate Special Education Endorsement AND Music Approved Area OR Music K-12 Endorsement OR Arizona Early Childhood Special Education OR Moderate/Severe Disabilities WITH Mild-Moderate Special Education Endorsement, PreK-12 WITH Music Approved Area OR Arizona Arts Education - Music PreK-12 Certificate WITH Structured English Immersion (SEI) Endorsement AND Appropriate Special Education Endorsement/Approved
- Area Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
- Valid Driver's License
- MVReport – showing no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services Transportation by Employees.
- Reliable mode of personal transportation with evidence of insurance compliance greater than or equal to the state required minimum for car insurance as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees
- Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
- Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement
- Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist is Preferred
