Position Description
Analyzes the revenue requirement needs of regulated utility affiliates of UniSource Energy.
Position-Related Responsibilities
(Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.)
Level I
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Requires bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or closely related field
Financial modeling skills with experience using Excel and other financial software products
Knowledge of financial and regulatory accounting principles, cost allocation methodologies and utility rate-making principles
Working knowledge of tax accounting, corporate finance and investment theory
Able to work independently or as a team member
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Requires no previous experience in a related field.
Level II
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a minimum 1-2 years of experience as a regulatory analyst or analyst in a closely related field.
Senior
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a regulatory analyst or analyst in a closely related field.
Strong Financial Modeling Skills Required.
Strong knowledge of financial and regulatory accounting required.
Able to identify and communicate key concepts and tasks related to complex analytical assignments.
Has primary responsibility for complex research, analysis and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or other advanced degree is a plus. CFA or CPA designation is a plus.
Lead
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications of Senior.
Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience as a regulatory analyst or analyst in a closely related field.
Will be required to work independently with minimal guidance and will be responsible for providing direction and support to staff and other departments.
Exhibits leadership qualities to the entire department in both a technical and supervisory aspect and provides training and guidance to less experienced analysts
Leads several complex projects at the same time and assists others on complex projects.
Proactively identifies issues and ensures resolution in a timely manner.

Position Description
Analyzes the revenue requirement needs of regulated utility affiliates of UniSource Energy.
Position-Related Responsibilities
- Prepares analyses of current and forecasted revenue requirements on a total company basis for Tucson Electric Power Company, UNS Gas and UNS Electric
- Works with other employees and outside consultants to determine revenue requirements on a state and federal jurisdictional basis, as well as an unbundled functional basis (e.g., generation, transmission and distribution).
- Prepares expert testimony and policy briefings for use in administrative rate proceedings, and provides other support as necessary to ensure a positive regulatory result.
- Prepares regulatory reports pertaining to revenue requirements and energy cost recovery mechanisms
- Provide analysis to other work groups and departments needing assistance on matters related to revenue requirements and rate regulation.
- This position may provide services to affiliates of the Company subject to the UNS Energy Code of Conduct and the related Policies and Procedures.
