Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Restoration Body Technician to join our automotive restoration team. The ideal candidate will have experience in auto body repair, auto restoration, and panel replacement, with a background in fabrication, welding, and the use of various hand and power tools. This role involves restoring vehicles to their original condition through bodywork, painting, and assembly, ensuring high-quality results that meet customer expectations. The Restoration Body Technician will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service by restoring vehicles efficiently and professionally.

Responsibilities
- Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and sheet metal work using MIG welding, soldering, and other fabrication techniques
- Conduct vehicle restoration projects involving auto painting, auto glass replacement, and detailing to achieve factory-quality finishes
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, and welding equipment to complete repairs accurately
- Assist with vehicle assembly, disassembly, and mechanical repairs as needed to ensure comprehensive restoration
- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify necessary repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace adhering to safety standards
- Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks required for vehicle repair and restoration projects
Skills
- Proven experience in auto body repair and auto restoration
- Proficiency in MIG welding, welding techniques, soldering, sheet metal work, and fabrication processes
- Knowledge in body alignment, filler work, sanding and finishing metal
- Knowledge of custom fabrication and fitting new parts
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, and other relevant equipment
- Understanding of preparing vehicles for paint
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during restoration projects
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
