Operations CoordinatorLocation: San Diego, CA 92123 (Kearny Mesa Facility)Schedule: Full-time – 5 days/week initially, transitioning to Hybrid 4 days/week after Mid-January1-Year Contract (Potential to extend or convert)Pay: Up to $38/hourAbout the RoleThe Operations Coordinator supports gas emergency response and compliance-driven Maintenance & Inspection activities across the SDG&E service territory. This role partners with Gas Technical Services (GTS) Supervision, Region Engineering, Construction & Operations Centers, Construction Services, and Field Utilities Specialists to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant execution of operational tasks.What You’ll DoAct as the primary coordinator for the GTS Inspection & Maintenance Program.Create, manage, and track work orders and notifications in SAP-PMValidate and update inspection and maintenance recordsPrepare job packages, maps, field memos, and supporting documentationMonitor field work (follow-ups, scope changes, access issues, joint meets)Ensure all records meet Compliance & Records Retention requirementsSupport and train other coordinators on SAP, scheduling, and workflow processesCoordinate with Legal, Audit Services, CPUC, Claims, Land Management, and other partnersGenerate reports using SAP-PM and HANA for audits and internal data requestsDispatch crews during Pipeline & LNG emergency response using CLICKSupport special projects, system improvements, and process documentationWhat You BringExperience in utility operations, dispatch, asset management, or maintenance coordinationStrong proficiency in SAP-PM (or similar work management systems)Excellent communication and cross-department coordination skillsAbility to remain calm and solution-oriented during emergency responseHigh attention to detail and comfort with compliance-driven workWhy This Role Is GreatWork with a respected San Diego-based utilities administratorGain experience in emergency response, gas operations, and complianceCompetitive pay potential for long-term conversionMeaningful, collaborative work that directly supports public safetyCompany DescriptionThe TPS Group, www.tpsmithgroup.com, is a Certified Woman and Disabled Owned Diverse recruiting and staffing firm that is a trusted recruiting partner to top companies.
