Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Batch Panel Operator to join our feed mill production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and monitoring the batching system to ensure accurate feed formulations and efficient mill performance. Experience with Beta Raven automation software or similar feed batching control systems is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor Beta Raven batching control software to produce feed formulas accurately and on schedule.
- Ensure all ingredients are weighed, mixed, and transferred according to established feed recipes and production orders.
- Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot alarms or process issues as they arise.
- Coordinate with the grinding, pelleting, and packaging teams to maintain consistent production flow.
- Verify ingredient usage and report discrepancies or shortages to supervisors.
- Maintain accurate batch and production records for quality control and traceability.
- Follow all safety, quality, and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Assist maintenance and electrical teams in identifying process or equipment issues.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Prior experience in feed mill or grain processing operations preferred.
- Familiarity with Beta Raven, CPM Automation, or other feed batching systems a strong plus.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to interpret production data.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented industrial environment.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including some weekends or overtime when needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods and climb stairs or ladders.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Comfortable working in dusty, noisy, or warm environments typical of feed mill operations.
