We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Field Surveyor to join our team and play a vital role in land and construction projects. As a Field Surveyor, you will be responsible for collecting precise geospatial data, conducting land surveys, and supporting civil engineering initiatives through accurate measurements and mapping. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge surveying technology, including GPS, 3D scanners, and GIS systems, to deliver high-quality results that drive project success. Your expertise will ensure that all survey activities meet industry standards and client specifications, contributing to the successful completion of infrastructure and land development projects.

  • Conduct land surveys using GPS equipment, total stations, 3D scanners, and other advanced surveying tools to gather accurate spatial data.
  • Perform topographic, boundary, ALTA (American Land Title Association), and construction surveys with precision and attention to detail.
  • Utilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, Carlson, and Civil 3D software to draft maps, schematics, and detailed survey plans.
  • Apply principles of trigonometry, geometry, algebra, and math to calculate distances, angles, elevations, and coordinate transformations.
  • Operate GIS (Geographic Information Systems) software such as ArcGIS to analyze spatial data and generate detailed maps for project planning.
  • Use CAD tools for drafting layouts, schematics, and site plans that support civil engineering designs.
  • Support construction teams by providing accurate staking data and verifying site measurements during project execution.
  • Maintain meticulous records of survey data collection activities and ensure all field notes are properly documented for future reference.
  • Collaborate with civil engineers, architects, and project managers to interpret survey requirements and deliver timely results that meet project deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations during all field activities.

  • Proven experience in land surveying or civil engineering projects with a strong understanding of land surveying principles.
  • Proficiency in GPS technology, total stations, 3D scanners, Trimble equipment, and other survey instruments.
  • Skilled in using GIS software such as ArcGIS along with CAD programs including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, and Carlson.
  • Solid knowledge of trigonometry, geometry, algebra, and math fundamentals necessary for precise measurements and calculations.
  • Familiarity with schematics development for construction layouts and ALTA surveys is highly desirable.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately while supporting drafting activities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong attention to detail in field data collection.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on complex projects.
