Farmworker Labor

The employer will furnish, without charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required in the performance of the specified work. Workers will be charged for any willful damage or loss of such tools and equipment. Greenhouse: Workers may seed plant trays. Workers may clean and wash plant trays. Workers may apply water and fertilizers to plants in trays. Workers may clip and mow plants. Workers may load plant trays onto trucks and wagons. Duties to include, but not limited to: Perform any combination of the following duties concerned with preparing soil and growth media, cultivating and otherwise participating in horticulture activities. Hauls and spreads topsoil, fertilizer, etc to condition land. Dig, rake and screen soil and fill cold frame and hot beds to prepare them for planting. Plant, spray, weed and water plants, shrubs and trees. Ties, bunches, wraps and pack flowers, plants and shrubs to fill orders. Load trucks for marketing. Work on potting line transplanting seedlings into selling containers and place in growing area. Assist with delivery of product to customer. Maintenance on farm equipment required in operation. Assist in set-up of product for sale of crop Planting, Cultivating, & Harvesting Row Crop: Duties to include, but not limited to: Workers may drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops such as corn, wheat, soybeans, etc. Attach farm implements such as plow, disc, and drill to tractor and drive tractor in field to till soil and plant / cultivate crop. Perform variety of other duties such as husking and shelling corn, lubricating and repairing farm machinery and unloading grain onto conveyors to storage bins and elevators. Assist in set-up of product for sale of crop. Diversified crops: corn, Soybeans: Workers may fill planters with seed from 50lb. Bags. Workers may operate equipment to prepare fields. Workers may spray crops for weeds and grass. Workers may apply water and fertilizers. Workers may restock trucks and equipment with seed bags. Workers may use equipment to prepare fields for planting. Workers may load and unload harvested crops for shipping and storage
