Position Overview
Are you eager to launch your career in civil construction estimating? As a Junior Estimator, you’ll work closely with our estimating team to prepare accurate, competitive bids for infrastructure projects. This is a hands-on role for someone with civil site construction experience who is driven to learn, grow, and contribute to high-profile projects.
You’ll gain real-world exposure to the full bid cycle while developing the technical skills and industry knowledge to advance quickly in your career.
What You’ll Do
- Attend comprehensive kickoff meetings and pre-bid calls with owners
- Download bid documents, review specs, addendums, and revisions
- Prepare master quotes and input existing/proposed grades into AGTEK
- Conduct site visits and pre-bid meetings
- Perform takeoffs in Planswift and create exhibits for sod & concrete
- Coordinate and follow up with subcontractors and vendors for accurate pricing
- Input pricing and quantities into B2W and ensure scope coverage
- Adjust indirect costs, overhead, and profit margins
- Prepare complete proposals, calculations, and supporting documentation
- Attend bid reviews, process adjustments, and negotiate changes as needed
- Support senior estimators with change orders, project handoffs, and post-job reviews
- Deliver bids, attend openings, and record results
Additional responsibilities: May include other related tasks as assigned to meet organizational needs.
