Responsibilities
- Lead sales initiatives by engaging with clients, demonstrating products, and closing high-end sales through effective negotiation and upselling techniques
- Assist customers with interior design, lighting solutions, and layout design consultations to ensure their needs are fully met
- Manage inside sales activities including customer relationship building, product demos, and order processing using CRM systems and POS platforms
- Support renovation and remodeling projects by coordinating with contractors, overseeing maintenance tasks, and ensuring project timelines are met
- Conduct lighting design consultations and provide expert advice on fixture selection, merchandising, and fixture sales
- Maintain organized stock levels, assist with merchandising displays, and ensure the retail environment is inviting and well-stocked
- Build strong customer relationships through excellent communication skills, personalized service, and follow-up to promote repeat business
Requirements
- Proven experience in outside sales, construction sales, or retail sales with a focus on high-end or specialized products
- Strong technical proficiency in SketchUp, CAD (Computer-Aided Design), Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and POS platforms
- Knowledge of lighting design, interior design principles, remodeling processes, and fixture sales is highly desirable
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively while upselling additional products or services
- Multilingual abilities are a plus for engaging diverse customer bases
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication skills for client interaction, team collaboration, and customer service excellence
- Basic math skills for retail math calculations including discounts, pricing strategies, and inventory management
- Valid experience or understanding of construction experience or renovation processes is preferred but not mandatory
